Canada once jailed indigenous peoples for dancing, but today new generations are finding inner balance through their dance cultures. In this visually stunning documentary, an indigenous man chronicles the oppressive Potlatch Law of 1885 to 1951, and travels throughout BC and the Yukon to find out why Indigenous people are taking their ceremonies out of the darkness. Meet inspiring people from Vancouver to Alert Bay and from Terrace to the Yukon whose lives are rooted in their culture, and whose call to dance is beyond human power. Producer Gordon Loverin is an experienced storyteller from the Tlingit and Tahltan Nations in northwestern British Columbia.
