In this episode, we take you to Cahuasqui, a very remote village high in the Ecuadorian Andes. We spend time on a small organic farm and get to know the people of this very special place. The local economy is supported by agriculture and small family run businesses such as shoemakers and bakers. The locals say anything you plant, grows. They are warm and friendly people who work hard and live long. However, not all is tranquil as it seems. Filmmakers Robert and Vanessa Moberg discover a road blockade near the farm they are staying at and on investigating discover that a large mining operation was setting up in the nearby mountains, threatening a way of life that spans hundreds of years.
