In 'Katutuat Teueikanat, The Man Who Makes Drums', Benoit tells of a dream he had about a drum and a partridge which an elder interpreted as the ancestors giving him their blessing to make or play the teueikan.  We see Benoit making a teueikan (drum), and he shares his knowledge of the history and meaning of this sacred instrument which he gifts rather than sells. Biography: Benoit Thisselmagan was born in the Innu community of Maliotenam, near Sept-Îles, Quebec, on June 7, 1969. He now lives in Alma and works at the Indigenous Museum of Mashteuiatsh as a guide. He has a passion for making traditional objects and crafts. He creates teueikans (drums), snowshoes and curved knives. Also available in French: Katutuat Teueikanat (Celui qui fabrique des tambours) French narration with English subtitles.
