Born of an Innu mother and a Chadian father, a young woman embarks on a journey in search of her identity. A poetic and personal journey between the present and the past, between her Innu homeland on Route 138, Côte-Nord, Quebec, and Africa where the other half of her roots lie. This autobiographical short film is tinged with sweet intimacy and presents the challenge and pride of having two identities and her hopes for her unborn Métis child. Biography: Gaëlle Mollen was born on March 9th in Montreal. Her father is Chadian and her mother is Innu from the Ekuanitshit community, Mingan, where she spent part of her childhood. Her journey has been marked by her many travels since she was young. She is interested in music, cooking, travelling, discovering other cultures, preserving the Innu language and tradition. These elements are the essence of her motivation to continue her studies in anthropology.
