The Boeing 314 Clipper - the biggest airplane of the nineteen hundred thirties and the first to take passengers non-stop from the USA to Europe. A gigantic floating body as a fuselage, combined with state-of-the-art wings from a military experimental aircraft. Its range: five thousand nine hundred kilometres, its maximum speed three hundred twenty kilometres per hour. Not only its technique, but also it's luxurious cabin make the B 314 famous all over the world. Specious sections with luxurious chairs as seats, a dining room in which the stewards serve a six course menu and even a honey moon suite - flying in the B 314 was quite an event. But what happens when this legend takes on a modern-day icon? The B-314 Clipper faces the Airbus 350 - the most modern and environment friendly aircraft of today's time. Fifty-three percent of the aircraft are made from CFRP - Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer. Its powerful engines are especially designed and adapted to the A-Three-Fifty's flight characteristics. Each of them provides more than fifty thousand horse powers. And in the cabin, state-of-the-art technology ensures maximum comfort. Lighting in the cabin can create over sixteen million different colours simulating different lighting moods - sunrise and sunset included. This helps to keep passenger biorhythms as balanced as possible. And reduces jet lag. A contest of superlatives - The B-314 versus A350! Two opponents. Three categories. And lots of surprises.
