3D stereoscopic visuals literally pop out of your screen. Depth perception is the result of each eye sending slightly different information to the brain. Techniques used to create 3D effects include stereoscopes that hold two images taken from slightly shifted perspectives, anaglyph glasses that use red and blue lenses, shutter glasses, polarized glasses with two projectors, and most recently mobile phone technology.
