Storm and Lake, seventeen-year-old twins, have endured their mother’s rejection and years in foster care, often separated. Storm, after a stint in juvie, finds hope with a kind foster dad and a trusting girlfriend, Jaidyn. However, after Jaidyn is assaulted, Storm retaliates and ends up back in lockup, feeling more alone than ever. Meanwhile, Lake finds solace with her new partner, Parker, but their life becomes unstable after running away from strict foster parents. Now homeless, Lake wonders about Storm and his promise to always protect her.
