This unit will engage students in identifying and assessing ways in which plants are important to humans and other living things. They will also extend their thinking to discuss ways in which humans and their activities have an impact on these plants and their habitats. Since it uses a multimedia approach (a narrated photo story), it also integrates well into several Language strands, in particular Media Literacy.
