Since the Wizard's departure, Oz is under new and dangerous management. Liir, an adolescent boy left comatose after Dorothy did in the Witch, must discover if he is Elphaba's son, if he inherited her powers along with her broom and cape, and free his supposed half-sister, Nor, from the forbidding prison Southstairs.
