Five university students are taken from Earth to Fionavar, the heart of the first of all worlds by a wizard. Once there they find that they are a part of the pattern known as the Fionavar Tapestry, and only if they accepted their destiny would the armies of the Light stand any chance of surviving when the Unraveller unleased his wrath upon the world.
