With the help of the writing of early explorers, and stories by imaginary Micmac characters, this book tells about the native Canadians in eastern Canada. It describes how the Micmac lived together long ago in the land thy call M'ikma'kik, and how their way of life was transformed by the coming of the first Europeans.
