In 2012 'The Emergency' begins as terrorist bombe shatter cities around the UK and wreak havoc on normal life. Molly's parents decide to send her and her brother to safety in the countryside. Molly goes to a family where she is cared for even better than when she's at home but her brother gets sent to an abusive farmer. Molly is so caught up in her wonderful new life that she fails to take action when she hears about her brother's plight.
