Chicago's newest vampire Merit is learning how to coexist with the other supernaturals that roam the city, but when Merit is assigned to protect the Alpha, Gabriel Keene, and spy for the vampires, she finds herself in the line of fire and must track down a would-be assassin who seems to want Merit for his next target.
