Twelve works, from early times to the present, offer students a glimpse inside a variety of Indigenous American cultures rich with dramatic visual expressions. From examining the works of very diverse nations, students gain appreciation for that diversity, while also recognizing the common reverence for natural materials, connection to the spiritual realm, and emphasis on geometric, abstract, and figurative designs.
