Hinduism is one of the main world religions, with more than one billion followers. Faith, along with its rules for living, is part of the daily life for many Hindus. This film explores Hinduism through daily rituals and practices, including puja, meditation, and vibrant festivals like Diwali and Holi. We delve into beliefs around ahimsa, purity, and the legacy of the caste system, as well as life's key transitions - from name-giving ceremonies to weddings and funerals. Hinduism is not only a faith - it's a way of life, lived through prayer, celebrations, and a deep connection to old traditions.

So, it's never good when what's happening in the back office is making headlines instead. Such was the case not long ago at the critically acclaimed Soulpepper theatre company. It now has a new artistic director who's rebuilding the company in some pretty inventive ways. Weyni Mengesha formerly directed shows there, and after many years in the U.S., is back to take the helm.

It's not magic ... it's mathematical! The pedagogical side: To decrypt a secret message, you need a key, or shared information about the structure of the cipher. In the example, a message that is 16 letters long is written in boxes across a square grid and then read by column.

As a long-time member of the iconic Canadian band, The Barenaked Ladies, Kevin Hearn has played before large audiences all around the world, but his most cherished performances are before an audience of one in a Toronto area group home. That's where his daughter Havana lives. At nearly every visit, he plays her favourite song, Streams of Lemonade, a take-off on Streams of Whisky by the legendary Irish band The Pogues. Havana, now 20, was born with a brain malformation called lissencephaly. She's non-verbal, has limited mobility and endures seizures. For decades, Toronto's Beverley School has been catering to young children with exceptionalities. All of the students from kindergarten to Grade 8 have developmental disabilities and many have both physical limitations and complicated medical conditions. Canadian music stars have been raising money for the school with an annual fundraising concert called Dream Serenade.
