For Nate Wright, conflict is a way of life. He tangles with Gina, the editor of the school newspaper, after she rejects his comic strip. He can't get on the same page with his snooty study partners as they cram for the final exam. And once he hears that Mr. Rosa's job is on the line, Nate even takes on the all-powerful school board. But when a challenger threatens Nate's status as the owner of P.S. 38's filthiest locker, our hero may have met his match. Can he win the slob-off and bury Kyle under the ash heap of history? In this brand-new collection of comics, Nate is definitely NOT messing around.

Module One: Pest Insect Control
Module Two: Fungi Control
Module Three: Honey Bees: Pollinators and Producers. This Canadian production examines how insects are employed in agriculture for pest control and food production. Case studies include the innovative use of predatory insects to protect greenhouse food crops and bumble bees to deliver a beneficial spore to prevent grey mold on berries and the traditional use of honeybees in pollination and honey production.

From the Curio.ca streaming audio-visual collection. Episode 6: 1670 to 1850 CE. The Canadian west is opened by the great fur-trading empires of the Hudson's Bay and Northwest Companies, the native people who were their indispensable allies, and bold explorers and map makers who ventured from the Great Lakes to the Arctic Ocean and long-sought-for Pacific. Pierre Esprit Radisson defies a governor to take New France's trade far into the continent's interior and later, founds an English trading empire; Pierre Gaultier de Varennes, sieur de la Vérendrye, spends a lifetime searching for the Western Sea and pays dearly for it. Tough Dene chief Matonabbee leads Samuel Hearne on a monumental trek into the Barren Lands; Alexander Mackenzie's dash to the Pacific makes him one of the most celebrated men of his age. And David Thompson comes to the forbidding shores of Hudson Bay as a 14-year-old apprentice and eventually unlocks the secrets of the West more than any other man. As the fur trader's day comes to an end, settlers on the prairies and gold miners in British Columbia begin to claim the west for themselves.

From the Curio.ca streaming audio-visual collection. The diet of hunter-gatherers living in Morocco, between 13,000 and 15,000 years ago, contributed to tooth decay. The remains of 52 individuals were studied, and all but three suffered from tooth decay. The research - led by Dr. Louise Humphrey from the Department of Earth Sciences at the Natural History Museum in London, England - found that a diet heavily based on starchy food, including sweet acorns and pine nuts, was the cause. When the nuts were cooked, the sugars became sticky and more likely to remain on - and in - the teeth. The results were a surprise because it had previously been thought that tooth decay arrived with farming and an increase in food processing, 10,000 years ago.

From the Curio channel: News in Review. The results of the Brexit vote in the United Kingdom and the U.S. presidential election in 2016 may have caught many by surprise, but those who study political philosophy say it's all part of an anti-establishment backlash. It indicates a return to so-called "populism," where the people want more say in the direction of their country. And that could spell major changes for the leaders of many European nations in the near future.

It's senior year of high school, and Annabeth is ready--ready for everything she and her best friend, Noe, have been planning and dreaming. But there are some things Annabeth isn't prepared for, like the constant presence of Noe's new boyfriend. Like how her relationship with her mom is wearing and fraying. And like the way the secret she's been keeping hidden deep inside her for years has started clawing at her insides, making it hard to eat or even breathe. But most especially, she isn't prepared to lose Noe.

Of Great Service tells the story of the National Research Universal (NRU) reactor in Chalk River, Ontario and its historical role as one of Canada's most important scientific and research facilities. One of the largest research reactors in the world, NRU was a landmark achievement in Canadian nuclear science and technology went it went into service on November 3, 1957 on the banks of the Ottawa River in Deep River, Ontario. For over 60 years, the reactor served Canadians as a supplier of industrial and medical radioisotopes used for the diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening diseases, as a major Canadian facility for neutron physics research, and to provide engineering research and development support for Canada's fleet of nuclear power reactors.
