Misho and Robin travel to the seaside. Misho hurries into the sea while Robin wants to sunbathe. After exploring the seabed, Misho brings Robin a fallen star. When they agree it's a starfish, he returns it into the water. Next he finds a "sea chestnut" turning out to be a sea urchin. Finally, he brings Robin a beautiful shell, which turned out to have legs. And claws. It was the hermit crab that was responsible for Robin's first dip in the sea.

We follow the forest and its residents through the change from high tide to low and back to high, meeting the Red-claw mangrove crabs that keep the forest clean and in so doing help it provide food and shelter for a variety of species. We also meet the Vervet monkeys that occupy the top canopy, the Mudskippers and Fiddler crabs that rule the mud flats, and the tropical fish that use the flooded forest floor as a nursery.
