Made with the Trades is an upbeat, informative resource that focusses student attention on viable career options in the construction trades. Utilizing topical multi-media and communication imagery, and employs web site, Internet and music video styles with rap thythms and computer animation, the video series shows how many jobs formerly considered blue collar work are now highly skilled hi-tech positions, achieved through ongoing training and specialized apprenticeships, which pay students while they learn. The project aims to help high school students struggling with their career choices as well as address the growing shortage of skilled trades workers in Canada.
