Primary/Junior books in (Working with materials(3y) (Bseries... tie in... with... science curriculum on matter... books are a good size for young readers... attractive with colourful covers and big pictures and not too busy on the inside to discourage readers. The font is large, there are bold words throughout the text which could be used by students to make their own glossary... the accompanying photos are clear with excellent captions... publisher has included a small glossary and a 1-page index at the back of the book; both are excellent to explain the purpose to first-time research students. At the end of the chapters... are 2 experiments using household items which students could easily do... the last page of the book has a recipe and/or craft that they can do...
