March of the Mimes is a light-hearted concert march written in a traditional march form, though the sytle is far from traditional. Some of the featured elements of this march are chromatic and shifting harmonies, contrasting dynamics and instrumental colors. Irregular rhythms are found in the use of a 7-measure and 11-measure phrase in the "break strain".
