The activities in this unit are intended to provide opportunities for students to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge set out in the expectations for Grade 3 Social Studies: Canada and World Connections: Urban and Rural Communities. They are suggested activities only and address a range of learning styles. Teachers are encouraged to modify the activities and the teaching/learning strategies to meet local program needs and students’ learning needs.
