A collection of short stories which deal mainly with the growing-up experiences of the author, Basil Lopez. Growing-up, however, necessitated leaving his island home, Jamaica. So some of the stories may be set in Miami, Toronto or New York. There is therefore a definite attempt to bridge the gap between what the author experienced at home and what he experienced in the wider world.
