Excerpts from Anne's diary and archival footage provide a study of her life, from her early years as a carefree child in Germany to the time she spent hidden in the Secret Annex during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam to her final tragic months at Bergen-Belsen. Viewers will witness the only existing film footage of Anne accompanied by the words of Otto Frank, her father. This documentary tells not only the story of Anne Frank and her family, but also that of the Second World War, the persecution of the Jews and the horrors of the Holocaust.
