Kevin, Chuck, Deanne and Nick engineer two types of ball bearing isolation systems that would keep a house safe during an earthquake. Kevin and Chuck's isolation system combines clusters of ball bearings in each corner of the house's foundation with truck shock absorbers. Deanne and Nick's invention consists of ball bearings rolling on a curved track using gravity to naturally stop the motion.
