The world into which Native people have been brought since the arrival of Europeans is a wider world than their ancestors knew. It involves many lands and many people - yellow, black, red and white. The Medicine Wheel represents wholeness and within the Medicine Wheel, or Circle of Life, are the Four Sacred Colours and the Four Cardinal Directions. Native spiritual life is founded on the belief that the circle is the perfect form - the power of the earth always works in circles.
