This short film weaves two stories and cultures with themes of loss, hope and forgiveness. TORA remembers what happened post Pearl Harbour with hopes that "History won't fade as easily as it's lessons" in today's post 9-11 world. Jenna (Kate Bateman), a jaded young urban woman, inherits a lake-front property in the interior of British Columbia. Dilapidated log buildings hidden in the bush and unsettling visions of a ghostly eight-year-old Japanese girl suggests there is more to the inherited property than shes been told. During her stay there, she encounters Oyama (David Suzuki), a mysterious older Japanese Canadian, and the mystery begins to unfold.

The title TORA is an homage to the 1970 film Tora! Tora! Tora! set during WWII. TORA was the code-word used by the Japanese to indicate that complete surprise at Pearl Harbour was achieved and is translated as "tiger". Suggested to pair with Henry's Glasses, DV5046.
