53 students from The Esplanade (downtown Toronto) were put in contact with 41 people residing in each of the 41 countries/territories participating in the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, and asked them to write a defining portrait. The student-driven narratives inspired accompanying commissioned pictures from forty international photographers. The result is a book which celebrates cultural differences between neighbouring countries and illuminates our common identity.
