Sam's older brother and sister build him a huge snow cat with marble eyes, broom-bristle whiskers and red earmuff ears. After dark, Snow Paws comes alive and takes Sam on a ride through the night skies and over the city. There is also a real cat, Emilie, in Sam's life. Spring brings the end of Snow Paws but Emilie contributes a new kitten to the family. Happy ending and wonderful watercolours make this book a delight.
