"'Fallen soldiers' are all too frequent in today's news, and from Linda's many school visits she knows that there is keen interest in this topic. She has used her extensive collection of archival material about Tombs of the Unknown Soldier from all around the world, to create this book. We start with photos of soldiers from various conflicts, then focus on Canada's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (the body brought back to Canada from France in 2000), proceeding to England's and France's Tombs/Memorials built in the early 1920s at Westminster Abbey and at the Arc de Triomphe, and the U.S. Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. From there we continue around the world: Belgium, Poland, Russia, Greece, Italy, Japan, Iraq, Australia, New Zealand and so on.
