At the end of this activity, students should be able to describe the properties of an ideal gas, state Boyle's law, Charles's law and Avogadro's law and use them in calculations, use the ideal gas law to calculate the density of a gas and the relative molecular mass of a volatile compound and explain under what conditions real gases behave as ideal and how very low temperatures and extremely high pressures affect their behavior.
