All the texts in this strategy unit are non-fiction and focus on extremes of nature. Teaching plans for each text will focus students on locating, interpreting and organizing key information about the topics. Text formats are varied, so students are immersed in researching visual texts (a video documentary) and media texts (magazine and newspaper articles, internet search results, poster, short stories, guide).
