After her journalist-father's mysterious death in 2008, fifteen-year-old Shamiso must leave England for boarding school in Zimbabwe. There she and Tanyaradzwa, who is fighting cancer, form an unexpected friendship. In opening herself to someone with a potentially fatal illness, Shamiso knows she might be opening herself to more pain. Yet Tanyaradzwa is the only one who gives her the strength to ask what really happened to her father.
