Bernie and Chet score tickets to a traveling circus from a client, and take Charlie, Bernie's son, to the show. Charlie's into elephants, but when they get there Peanut the elephant and trainer Uri DeLeath are missing. At first there's nothing Bernie and Chet can do - it's a police matter and they have no standing in the case. But then they're hired by Popo the Clown, partner of the trainer. Has DeLeath joined the animal rights activists, FAAN (Free All Animals Now)? Or has FAAN kidnapped Peanut and DeLeath?
