In 1983, the famous Riva siblings host an epic end-of-summer party in Malibu. The guests are eager to mingle with the Rivas: Nina, a model; Jay and Hud, a champion surfer and a renowned photographer respectively; and Kit, the youngest. Their father is the legendary singer, Mick Riva. By morning, their mansion is reduced to ashes, with the cause of the fire unknown. The party brings to light the deep-seated loves and desires that have shaped the family over generations. The story explores the choices one makes about what to retain and let go from their upbringing.
