"Memoir of a Holocaust survivor, born in 1935 in Belgium to a Jewish family of eleven children. Her father died before the war. She survived by hiding in convents, orphanages, and with families. She remembers being used as a messenger to pass messages for the resistance. After the war, she was reunited with her surviving siblings and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, as part of the War Orphans project with three of them. She was fostered by a Jewish family, married, had children, worked, and became an active member of her community."-- Provided by publisher.
