The world is full of excitement for seven-year-old Lola Lopes Cruz, a second-generation Latin American girl. It's hard to balance life in Texas and family in Guatemala, but Lola can handle it all thanks to Abuelita. With her grandmother's advice to guide her, Lola tackles the firsts of growing up, including new friends, a new school, and new experiences.
