Takara Takarada is a genius actor whose career is recovering from its latest setback. After a tumultuous rise to popularity, Takara seems to have found his balance taking on roles in smaller productions, staying out of the public eye, and distancing himself from his long-time friend and acting inspiration, Yuujin Kamoshima. When a new role unexpectedly puts Yuujin in his orbit once again, Takara's façade of careful equilibrium is broken. Forced to face some hard truths about himself and his complicated desires toward Yuujin, Takara struggles to draw the lines between artistic imitation, admiration, friendship and love.
