Readers may have heard the term fossil fuels, but they may not know exactly what they are. Oil, natural gas, and coal are fossil fuels, but they are not clean or renewable sources of energy. This book takes a look at the history of fossil fuels and how we burn them to make heat and electricity as well as what can be done to decrease our use of these fuels and why this change is important.
