Melvin Kusin (1926 - 2018), called "Poppy" by his other grandchildren, was a World War II veteran, Senior Olympics track star, and Texas chili mix entrepreneur. Poppy's life was bold and full of unexpected turns. But of his many adventures, Poppy was most proud of leading our family's Passover Seder for seventy-two years in a row. He taught everyone that traditions have the power to bring and keep families together. It's through these special moments that we can all discover ways our loved ones are still right here with us, just like Poppy.
