The town of Covenly's fall fair is in full swing, and when a prized show chicken goes missing, the Weird Sisters -- Hidegurp, Yuckmina, and Glubbifer -- along with their nine-year-old friend, Jessica Nibley, have a new mystery to solve. And to make matters more baffling, cat Graymalkin and an elegantly dressed frog have also vanished. Could it be fowl play? The four friends search for the hapless hen in a madcap hunt that includes a bewitched runaway roller coaster, a swiped sandwich, and a winding trail of goop. Amid the havoc, the sisters come to realize that their actions have created problems for others. But can they use their magic to unspell?
