Gifted is a thrilling tale with a touch of fantasy, featuring five diverse middle school students who discover they are not just academically gifted but possess supernatural powers that intensify when they are together. As they uncover and learn to control and use their powers through an adventurous rescue of a group of missing elementary school kids, they are ‘gifted’ something else: each other’s friendship. In mastering their new abilities, they also forge lasting bonds, face and overcome personal insecurities, and grow in unexpected ways.
