The flag of Sierra Leone is green, white, and blue. The green represents nature, the white line means justice and the blue represents peace. The capital of Sierra Leone is Freetown. So named because after the British ended slavery, Freetown became a place for freed and runaway enslaved people. On April 27th, 1961, the new national flag was raised for the first time to acknowledge their independence.
