It's been called the Pearl of Africa. But more recently Uganda's been known as the worst country in the world to be a child, where an entire generation has been caught up in a bloody civil war. The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda has been fighting the government for 20 years and built its ranks by abducting children. A new government amnesty program has coaxed rebels out of the bush, allowing twenty thousand children to escape.
