An international team of journalists explores various themes related to China's status as the emerging superpower: part one looks at the preparations for the Beijing Olympic games in 2008; part two shows how China has embraced private enterprise and made the fastest economic advance of any nation in history; part three examines China's struggle to feed its people; and, part four showcases Shanghai, the "hottest" city in China, now home to cutting-edge culture and a new middle-class lifestyle.
