Abandoned at the age of four and driven onto the Moscow streets by cold and hunger, Romochka finds refuge with a pack of feral dogs. But as time passes, the tension between his dog self and his boy self increases and he is drawn back into the dangerous world of human beings. Then the authorities take an interest.
