Set in Newfoundland, this is the story of Jackson, a teenager plagued with problems at home and at school. His parents' marriage seems to have reached a low point, and he is infatuated with Sarah, a new girl at school who isn't taking him too seriously. When he discovers he can magically enter into the imaginary world of the books he reads, he finds solutions to his many dilemmas.
