In this book, students will build fluency and comprehension skills by reading a reader's theater and the accompanying connected readings. "Sojourner truth" is a six-chracter play about students who are working on a project about Sojourner truth, a former slave who inspired many abolitonists. These three readings cover the topics of social reformers Evangeline Booth, Lewis Hine, and Jane Addams.
