As it shares Botany Bay with the growing city of Sydney, Australia's largest airport, a container terminal and an oil refinery, Towra Point is now an "Ecosystem at Risk". With coastal rainforest habitat as well as rich mudflats and sea grass beds, the area is the summer home and breeding ground to endangered migratory bird species. This video examines the biophysical environment of the area, how it developed and changed over time; as well as the challenges of managing the area's nature reserves, Towra Point Nature Reserve and Towra Point Aquatic Nature Reserve.
